Interest will be equal in both the cases.

We know $I=\frac{P\times R\times T}{100}$

$\Rightarrow$ $\frac{900\times 6\times T}{100}=\frac{540\times 4\times 5}{100}$

$\Rightarrow$ $900\times 6\times T=540\times 4\times 5$

$\Rightarrow$ $T=\frac{540\times 4\times 5}{900\times 6}$

$\Rightarrow$ $T=2$ years
