In what way do grazing animals affect forests?

Open in App
Solution

Regular feeding of herbivores animals in the forests results in soil erosion, removal of the topmost fertile layer which soon will be converted into deserts Due to this, the water holding capacity also decreases which makes these areas as flood prone area. Also, the overgrazing is harmful because it results in the decrease of plant leaf area which ultimately affects the growth of the plants and hampers the process of photosynthesis.
