Question

in what way mitochondria and chloroplasts are different from other organelles presents in the cell

Open in App
Solution

Basically, Mitochondria and chloroplasts are energy producing units present in animals and plants. Mitochondria are present in both plant cells and in animal cells and are sites for production of ATP(Adenosine Tri Phosphate) while chloroplasts are found in some protists(Euglena) and in plants being the primary site of photosynthesis.
No other organelles present neither in animal cells nor in plant cells have energy producing capability.
