The socialist made the atmosphere more explosive by their revolutionary ideas. Socialist included Anarchist, Communists, and Social Democrats. Their ideas made peasants to extort the lands of the landlord. The workmen organised a strike, broke machines and took hold of the factories. Strike took place in Post offices and Telegraph offices.

These activities brought lawlessness and indiscipline in the country. At this time people wanted a kind of powerful party that could establish peace and prosperity by ending the lawlessness and insecurity prevailing in the country. Such state gave rise to Fascism in Italy.
