Question

In which of the following figures the axis of symmetry is correct?

Correct Answer
A
Your Answer
B
Correct Answer
C
Correct Answer
D

Solution

The correct options are
A
C
D
When we fold the figure along the  line , if the figure is exactly divided into two identical halves, then the line is said to be axis of symmetry.

Here, when figures  'a',  'c' and 'd' are  folded along the axis of symmetry, the figures are exactly divided into two identical halves. Hence it is having the correct axis of symmetry.

When  figure  'b'  is folded along the axis of symmetry, the figure is not divided into two identical halves. Hence the axis  of symmetry is incorrect.
