Solution
The correct option is
D
Molluscs
Haemocyanin and hemoglobin are respiratory proteins found in animal’s blood.
Haemocyanin contains copper while hemoglobin contains iron. Hence the blood of animals with hemocyanin has a blue color instead of red.
Most molluscs and arthropods contain hemocyanin, such as the horseshoe crab and the giant octopus.
Haemocyanin is better than hemoglobin in lower oxygen environments like the bottom of certain oceans/seas.
Annelids have hemoglobin, hemerythrin and chlorocruorin as blood pigments while echinoderms often lack any pigments.
So the correct option is 'Molluscs'.
