In which of the following regions do we have an equal duration of days and nights throughout the year?
Tropical rainforests
In tropical rainforests, we have an equal duration of days and nights because these areas are located near the equator. Earth's rotation results in cycles of daylight and darkness. In the northern hemisphere, the length of the day is longer during the period when the north pole is tilted towards the Sun, that is in the summer. Similarly, in the winter it will have a shorter duration of the day when the north pole is tilted away from the Sun. The reverse is true for the southern hemisphere.
