Solution
The correct option is D ZIFT
Various couples are incapable of child production in spite of unprotected sex life. Such persons are advised to try assisted reproductive technologies. This includes IVF in which ova from wife and sperms from husband are collected and are induced to form a zygote in the simulated conditions in the laboratory. The embryo of about 8- blastomeres is then transferred into the fallopian tubes, called ZIFT or zygote intrafallopian transfer.
When the zygote is transferred to the uterus, it is called IUT or intrauterine transfer.
ICSI or intracytoplasmic sperm injection is another specialized method of embryo forming in the laboratory in which a sperm is directly injected into the ovum.
GIFT or gamete intrafallopian transfer of the same mother or another female if the mother fails to produce ova are mixed with sperms and passed to fallopian tubes of recipient mother to provide a suitable environment for fertilization.
