  1. In a group, the number of valence shell increases from top to bottom.
  2. Let’s take the example of group IA elements, the number of shells in Li is one, in Na there are 2 shells, in K there are 3shells.
  3. There are a maximum number of shells in the last element of the group, due to the increasing number of shells, the size of elements increases.
  4. So, the elements at the bottom of a group will have the largest atomic size.
