In liver, there are hepatocytes that are cells that secrete the bile juice they drain it into the canaliculi, from which the bile flows into bile ducts. As bile flows through the bile ducts it is further modified . This happens by the addition of a watery, bicarbonate-rich secretion from epithelial cells.
