Solution

Venus as Evening Star:

  1. Venus appears either in the eastern sky before sunrise or in the western sky after sunset.
  2. When it appears after sunset in the western sky, it is called an evening star.
  3. Venus is radiantly illuminated by its relatively close neighbor, the Sun.
  4. The first star that appears in the sky after the Sun sets is Venus.
  5. It is also the last star that disappears before the Sun rises.
  6. This is due to the fact that Venus shines very brightly.
  7. The orbital position of Venus also constantly changes.
  8. This causes the star to appear at different times of the night throughout the year.
  9. Since Venus is the second planet closest to the Sun, it is impossible for us to see Venus in the middle of the night.
  10. This planet never ventures very far from the Sun during its orbit and can therefore only be seen at dusk or dawn.

Hence, Venus appears in the western sky after sunset.
