Question

In which season is humidity generally more?

Open in App
Solution

Humidity:

  1. The amount of water vapour in the air is referred to as humidity.
  2. The temperature of the air determines the maximum amount of water vapour that can be present in it.
  3. Warmer air may hold more water vapour. As a result, the warmest days tend to occur in the middle of summer.
  4. The holding capacity increases as the temperature rises. As a result, throughout the summer, humidity levels are high.
  5. When it is warmer outside, the air holds more water vapour, and when it is cooler outside, the air does not retain as much water vapour.
  6. This explains why summers are hot and humid, while winters are frigid and dry.
  7. Therefore, the summer season has more humidity than other seasons.
