In which stage chromosome is minimum coiled?

Open in App
Solution

Chromosome:

  1. Chromosomes are thread-like structures that carry genetic information from one generation to the next in the nucleus.
  2. The cell cycle has three phases:
    1. Interphase
    2. M-Phase
    3. Cytokinesis
  3. The majority of a cell's life is spent in interphase. It is the period preceding mitosis, which is separated into three phases: G1, S, and G2.
  4. Cellular organelles, cytoplasm, biomolecules, and proteins all duplicate during G1. DNA replication occurs during the S phase. It is ensured that there are no faults in the G2 phase.
  5. In interphase, chromosomes are less curled than in any other stage of mitosis.
