Solution

The correct option is A Prophase and metaphase
During prophase and metaphase, chromatids remain intact to the centromere in a chromosome. However, during anaphase, centromere split and they separate thus, moving to opposite poles. During telophase, chromatids have reached their respective poles, decondense and lose their individuality. Hence, during prophase and metaphase of mitosis, the chromosomes are dyad i.e., composed of two chromatids.
