a. In 1804, Napoleon Bonaparte crowned himself Emperor of France. He introduced the Civil Code of 1804 known as the Napoleonic Code which did away with all privileges based on birth, established equality before the law and secured the right to property.
b. He was defeated in the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. Waterloo was then part of Neither lands
c. The French armies led by Napoleon were defeated by seventh coalition which comprised of UK, Neither lands, Hanover, Prussia, Brunswick, Nassau.
