Boron trifluoride reacts with lithium aluminium hydride in diethyl ether to give diborane
BF3+LiAlH4B2H6+3Li[AlF4]
Thus, the X is diborane (B2H6)
Diborane (B2H6) has following structure,
It has two 3- centered-2- electrons bond and four 2-centered-2-electrons bond. So total of 12 electrons are involved in bonding.
