Question is to increase the value 90, by 2%.

So first we calculate the 2% of 90, $equals 90 cross times 2 over 100 equals fraction numerator 90 cross times 2 over denominator 100 end fraction equals 180 over 100 equals 1.8$

Now to increase 90 by 2%, add 1.8 to 90,=

So our answer is 91.8.

This can be calculated in other way,

2% increase means (100+2) =102%

Which means , $90 cross times 102 over 100 equals fraction numerator 90 cross times 102 over denominator 100 end fraction equals 9180 over 100 equals 91.8$
