Solution

Five laws passed by the government that were against democracy are

1. Armed Forces (Special Powers) Acts (AFSPA) which gives the armed forces special forces in disturbed areas and suspends the democratic rights of citizens.

2.
Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA) which allowed the police to arrest anyone on suspicion of terrorist activity without any evidence.

3. Prevention of Terrorist Act (POTA) which replaced TADA and which also gave the police special powers to arrest people on suspicion of terrorist activity.

4. Sedition law which allows police to arrest people merely because someone's speech is regarded as sedititious.

5. Anti-defection law which disallows legislators to vote according to their conscience and instead have to follow the party whip.
