India is fortunate to have fairly rich and varied Natural resources:
i. In Peninsular plateau the reserves of coal, metallic minerals, mica and many other non-metallic minerals are found.
ii. In the sedimentary rocks of Gujarat and Assam most of the petroleum deposits are found.
iii. In Rajasthan reserves of many non-ferrous minerals are found.
iv. The country is also huge repository of fuel minerals like coal, petroleum, natural gas which are used for generating electricity.
v. Besides conventional source of energy, sunlight, wind, water, biomass serve as non conventional sources of energy. India has abundant of water, sunlight, wind.
vi. India also has large amount of natural resources in the form of forest and plant cover. The forests are a huge repository of valuable forests products and minerals which caters to the need of every section of the community.
