indian ocean is said to be the only ocean named after a country but antarctic ocean is also named after antarctica.why so?

It is named after Antarctica continent because it is the southernmost waters of the oceans which encircles the continent Antarctica ,hence named after it. The Southern Ocean or Antarctica ocean was delineated by land-based limits in 1928.
