The correct option is C Rs 20000
Let tha market price be Rs. x.
After 40% discount the selling price=x40100x=Rs 0.6x

Again the dealer gives further discount of 20%.

So, new SP=.6X201000.6x=Rs. 0.48x

Now,
0.48x=9600

x=96000.48=20000

Hence the market price is Rs. 20000.
