Yes, fishes and other creatures exist inside the water where light can not reach.
Some organisms use inorganic chemicals such as hydrogen and hydrogen sulfide obtained from rocks and seawater
for energy and food. This process is known as chemosynthesis.
Some fishes depend on the food that reaches down from above.
Some organisms use bioluminescence (ability to form light energy from chemical energy) attract their prey.
