  1. Pancreas are located below and behind the stomach.
  2. It releases insulin and glucagon hormones which regulates the blood glucose levels.
  3. Glucagon increases your blood sugar level and prevents it from dropping too low.
  4. Whereas insulin, another hormone, decreases blood sugar levels.
  5. Thus, insulin and glucagon are complementary to each other.
