Solution

The correct option is B

False

Insulin is a hormone secreted by the pancreas. It is not a plant hormone. The phytohormone (plant hormone) cytokinin is responsible for plant cell division. Cytokinins cause increased cell division (cytokinesis) by stimulating the process of mitosis. Increased mitosis results in plant growth and the formation of shoots and buds as well as the development of fruits and seeds.
