Solution

The correct option is A Dimeric protein
Insulin is secreted by beta cells of islets of Langerhans of pancreas and decreases blood glucose level. Receptor for insulin is located on plasma membrane of cell i.e. a cell surface receptor. The receptor is a tyrosine kinase receptor. It consists of two 2 α and 2 β subunits. Hence, it is a dimeric protein. Binding of insulin with its receptor activate kinases which phosphorylate target proteins and cause changes in the target cells.
So, the correct answer is 'Dimeric protein'.
