Into a circular drum of radius4.8m and height 3.5m, how many full bags of wheat can be emptied if the space required for wheat in each bag is 2.1m3.

Step 1: Given information.

The radius, r=4.8m

The height, h=3.5m

Step 2: Find the number of required wheat bags.

The volume of the drum,

V=πr2h=3.14×4.82×3.5=3.14×4.8×4.8×3.5=253.2096m3

And the volume of each bag of wheat=2.1m3

Therefore, the required number of bags:

=253.20962.1=120.576=120bags

Hence,120 full bags of wheat can be emptied.
