Solution

In Dengue, the patient suffers from high fever and vomiting which dehydrate the body. So for the treatment of disease, adequate rest and fluid intake are required. Intravenous fluid injection is a quick method to hydrate the body and also avoid vomiting out the fluid taken through the mouth. For that reason, intravenous fluids are given to the dengue-infected person.
