Introduction of some alien species causes biodiversity loss. Justify the statement with an example.

The evil quartet is the concept which describes the reasons which cause a decrease in the number of species. There is loss of biodiversity due to main four reasons which were known as the four horsemen which are overexploitation, loss of habitat, introduction of the exotic species and the extinction of species continuously. When new exotic or alien species in incorporated in a region, there is less importance given to the native species. This results in loss or disappearance of these species. The introduction of Lantana camara has resulted in loss of value of the native grasses.
