Therefore fraction of the book read by Ira $=$ $\frac{25}{100}$
Also, $\frac{25}{100}$ in simplest form can be written as $\frac{25}{100} = \frac{25 \div 25}{100 \div 25} = \frac{1}{4}$ .
Step $2$ : Finding the fraction of the book read by Ritu.
Number of pages read by Ritu $=$ $40$
Total number of pages in the book $=$ $160$
Therefore, fraction of the book read by Ritu $=$ $\frac{40}{160}$
