Solution

Dear Student,

The iron blade is fixed by the process of continuous expansion while heating. The iron blade of digging tools has a ring in which the wooden handle is need to be fixed. This ring is little bit smaller as compared to the handle. To fix the handle with iron blade, the ring is heated and on heating it expands. The handle easily adjust on the ring. When the ring slowly cools down then it contracts and properly fits tightly on the handle.

This change is reversible as we can detach handle with blade and ring by again heating the tool.
