Solution
Iron is a strong, hard, and tough metal and has whitish-grey coloration and has the capability to resist high load, stress, and is fairly malleable and ductile.
But its alloy steel is malleable and ductile and is corrosion - resistant and has the capability to withstand high strain with the proper amount of flexibility, hence it is used in building bridges.
