We substitute $x = 2$ , in the given relation.
We obtain $3 x - 5 = 3 (2) - 5 = 6 - 5 = 1$ ,
which is the left hand side or LHS. But the right hand side or RHS is 19.
Since 1 $\neq$ 19, we see that LHS is not equal to RHS for $x = 2$
Hence $x = 2$ is not a solution.
