Solution
Homogeneous mixture:
Any substance that exhibits uniformity in its composition and properties throughout its mass is known as a homogeneous mixture.
Example - Sugar solution
Heterogeneous mixture:
Any substance that does not exhibit uniformity in its composition and properties throughout its mass is known as a heterogeneous mixture.
Example: Muddy water, Sand,
A cup of tea is a homogeneous mixture, this is because all the components of tea i.e., water, sugar, and tea leaf extracts create uniformity in the composition and properties throughout the mass of the tea.
There is no boundary of separation between the different components of the tea as a cup of tea does not contain tea leaves.
