AB+ blood group:

  1. AB+ blood group is the codominant expression of the ABO blood group.
  2. The genotype IAIB has alleles IA and IB that are codominant and equally expressed in the phenotype.
  3. The plus (+) sign on the AB+ blood group determines the presence of rhesus antigen (Rh) which are transmembrane proteins.
  4. The ratio of the distribution of AB+ blood type is 3.2% among all other blood groups, whereas the ratio of AB- is only 0.7%.
