Is accelerated growth a sufficient condition to ensure eradication of poverty within a reasonable period?
Although accelerated growth is a necessary condition to ensure removal of poverty, it is not a sufficient condition for the eradication of poverty. It is very important that accelerated growth should be accompanied by leveling up of income i.e., benefits of growth must flow towards the poorer, sections of the society and additional income generated should not accrue to the already rich persons but should benefit the to poor persons.
