Ammonium chloride

Fish are stored in large freezers for preservation. The boxes used for transport comprise of ice blocks to maintain low temperature even when they are being sold. Ammonium chloride is added to these ice blocks for obtaining low temperature and for fast solidification. Ammonium chloride is harmful for our intestine so the fish must be thoroughly washed after being bought.
