Solution

Transparency of Air:

  1. The reason why we can see objects like houses, roads, trees, etc. is that the air around us is transparent.
  2. But our sight gets reduced when there is thick smoke, dust, and fog present in the air.
  3. This is because the smoke, dust, etc. absorbs the light.
  4. For example, during foggy weather, we can barely able to see the things around us.
  5. This is because the water droplets present in the air during a fog absorb all the light.

Hence, the air around us is not always completely transparent.
