Is animal nutrition & holozoic nutrition the same?
Holozoic nutrition (Greek: holo-whole ; zoikos-of animals) is a type of heterotrophic nutrition that is characterized by the internalization (ingestion) and internal processing of gaseous, liquis or solid food particles.
Ingestion in animals means, merely taking of food through the mouth
In humans, the type of nutrition that is found is called holozoic nutrition. It simply means eating or ingesting food and then digesting the food, to get the required nutrition.
