Open in App
Solution

Dear student,
The force of blood against the wall of the vessel is known as blood pressure. The blood pressure can be measured from arteries, veins, and vessels. However, the blood pressure is higher in the arteries than the veins. In general, the blood pressure is measured in terms of systolic pressure (The pressure of blood inside the artery during ventricular systole) and diastolic pressure (pressure in the artery during ventricular diastole).

The arterial pulse per minute is generally called pulse which is equivalent to the heart rate. Hence, the pulse is usually measured from the arteries.
