Is cell wall present in Euglenoids?

Open in App
Solution

Euglenoids:

  1. Euglenoids are flagellated unicellular microorganisms which belong to Kingdom Protista.
  2. Euglena lacks the cellulose cell wall found in plants.
  3. Another flexible outer membrane called pellicle is found, which supports the plasma membrane.
  4. The pellicle is composed of a proteinaceous strip and supporting microtubules, which gives flexibility to the cell and an ability to contract and change its shape
