  1. Thread-like stained bodies present in the nucleus of eukaryotes are called chromatin.
  2. Nucleosomes are repeating units of chromatin.
  3. They look like beads on string in chromatin when observed under an electron microscope.
  4. Chromatin is packed and forms a solenoid structure of 30nm diameter.
  5. Further, supercoiling leads to the formation of the chromatin fiber and then chromatids.
