Solution
Pedigree:
It is a tree or chart which consists of symbols and lines and represents a person's genetic family history.
Symbols signify people and the lines depict genetic relationships.
It is used to find out biological relationships in families and to determine the mode of inheritance of various genetic diseases.
Usually in the pedigree males are represented by squares and females by circles.
Horizontal lines depict mating and vertical lines which extends downwards from a couple representing their children.
