Solution

Sterilization in females:

  1. These methods are used to prevent the fertilization of eggs and are very effective which including surgical methods, contraceptive methods, corrective methods and rhythm methods.
  2. Sterilization in females is done by a surgical method called tubectomy.
  3. Tubectomy is the removal of small segments of both fallopian tubes and oviducts.
  4. In order to block the complete path, it is tied at the bottom end of the oviduct, to prevent the passage of eggs and fertilization by sperms.

Hence Tubectomy is the cutting of fallopian tubes in females.
