Question

IS DIAMOND A GOOD CONDUCTOR OF ELECTRICITY

Open in App
Solution

Dear Mansi Garg,

Diamond is non-metal and has tetrahedral geometry. There is no free electron and not even any empty orbital.
So diamond can not conduct electricity. In general non metals does not conduct heat and electricity but graphite is an exception.
