Question

Is diminishing returns to a factor applicable only when AP starts falling??

Open in App
Solution

Dear student
This is not true because in diminishing returns to a factor MP is falling but is positive. And when we talk about AP, it can rise even when MP is declining. It can happen as long as falling MP is more than AP but declining. But when MP becomes equal to AP, the further decline in MP will also reduce AP.
