Question

Question 4
Is distilled water acidic, basic or neutral? How would you verify it?

Open in App
Solution

Distilled water is neutral. Litmus paper either blue or red, can be used to verify whether distilled water is acidic, basic or neutral. Distilled water will not change the colour of either litmus paper. A neutral substance doesn't change the colour of litmus paper. So, it is neutral in nature.
