Question

Is distilled water acidic, basic or neutral? How would you verify it?

Open in App
Solution

Distilled water is neutral.
We can use red and blue litmus papers to verify this. It doesn’t change the colour of both the litmus papers. A neutral substance doesn’t change the colour of any litmus paper. Hence distilled water is neutral.
