Question

Is force constant in a uniform electric field?

Open in App
Solution

  1. In a homogeneous electric field, there are two oppositely charged and infinitely broad conducting plates.
  2. In actuality, endlessly broad conducting plates is not possible.
  3. There are, nevertheless, fields with roughly homogenous electric fields.
  4. In a uniform electric field, the force remains constant.

In a uniform electric field, the force is given by:

E=Fq, where, E is the electric field strength, F = electric force, and q= test charge

Hence, the force is constant in a uniform electric field.
