Question

________ is formed when two or more immiscible liquids are shaken.

Open in App
Solution

An emulsion is a colloid of two or more immiscible liquids. For example, when oil and water are taken in a container, they form two layers. Oil is lighter than water, therefore it floats on water. When we shake this mixture, it becomes milky. This milky mixture is known as an emulsion. The emulsion is temporary. When it is left undisturbed, the components get separated into different layers.
