Gender prejudice is a state of mind. It reflects the viewpoint that women are less capable, inferior and, hence, less deserving than men. Gender inequality is the outcome of this state of mind. It is the manifestation of gender prejudice in the form of lower levels of education, health and socio-economic status for women. Therefore, gender prejudice and gender inequality are related but not the same. One is a state of mind and the other is the outcome.
